Ooooh, good one.  I have a grab bag with 6-7 sets of those.  Actually, I have 8 or 9 small to med grab bags that I keep under a custom carpeted trunk shelf I made myself.  Then you can throw bigger items on top, like coolers and milk crates, and still have the grab bags accessible.

Fire extinguisher. I had to pull mine out twice for other peoples rig.
I have a thick piece of wood for when the surface for the jack is uneven.
For traction in sand when stuck I use the thick rubber floor mats flip upside down.

I keep powerbars and extra water in my trail box, and when I was in the east coast, I kept vodka and hand warmers in the truck. You got to keep warm if you are stuck hahaha.

Actually that is what I use the wet box on the top of X for.  Bottom line for Fire Extinguisher and recovery gear(Straps, D-rings, winch controller) is accessibility. Keep them close!!!

I can't tell you how many times I've watched a person unload the back of their vehicle trying to find gear while a vehicle is burning or hanging from a rock.
