Howdy everyone! 

Finally just bought our first Xterra this year!  Was in a car accident last November - I'm okay - but it was a wake up call to stop putting off things I wanted to do; like own an Xterra and start getting Off-Road on the weekends. We bought a used 2009 Red Alert Xterra (S model, with both the Tech and Gear packages) with 75k miles in January. We decided to buy an older model so that we had money for mods.

So far we've been to Inscription/Black Canyons, RattleSnake and Burns Canyons, and Lyttle Creek/Backside of Mt. Baldy.  But  we are going out alone and would rather travel with a group.  And we are interested in exploring new to us territories!

All that to say, we are excited to find this group and forum!  :D

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!  ;D

I referred to the 2009 as older, because we were looking at a 2013 as well.  But the price of the 2013 left no room for MODS for the next couple of years.  And we knew we didn't want to wait that long! LOL

I actually love the vintage models..... ;)

My '02 is 13 years old now, and I put almost 100k miles on it just by myself :o

Thanks!  I am pleasantly surprised to see how many rig owners live so close! (Riverside/Moreno Valley, Garden Grove, Orange, etc).

100k miles is impressive!! It gives me hope for ours!  We want this to be a long-term relationship with our 2009....  ;D
