I just got off the phone with Robert, the caretaker at Cerro Gordo. He says the weather has been very nice. There is no snow or ice on the main road, and several groups have come through from the Swansea side (our route) in the last week. He says nights are down in the low to mid 40s. Saturday night we will be up higher, so it will be colder. But Sunday night should be good at our lower campsite. It will cost $10 per person for the tour on Monday, plus we have to sign their waiver like last year. He said they could also use some heavy-duty paper plates. If every vehicle brought a 25-pack, that would be great.
