Yup, I play ice hockey goalie. It's an inside joke amongst goalies to bring their gloves to baseball games.

Haha... I'm not even south of the border patrol checkpoints (I live just north of the one off of I-15). You sir, are confused.

I grew up in Fullerton, so you'd think I'd be a big Ducks and Angels fan. But I grew up as a huge Kings fan, watching Gretzky and Luc before the Ducks even joined the league. I went to a Ducks game during their inaugural season and just wasn't feeling it. Same thing about the Angels.... every Angels game I went to as a kid just lacked something (mind you... this was about 15 to 20 years before they went to the World Series). It wasn't until I went to my first Dodger game at about the age of 12 that I realized what passion for a team is really about. Although I bleed Dodger Blue, I'm a huge baseball fan all the way around and just love the game. I'd never turn down an opportunity to watch any two teams play each other.

My brother from another mother.  I grew up DEEEP in the OC, and I bleed Dodger blue, and the black and silver that is LA KINGS.

Dodgers because back in the day, I was a HUGE Steve Yeager fan, and then some other catcher who went on to manage some scrub AAA team who lucked into a WS ring in 2002 

LA Kings fan since 99 came to town; I knew about hockey back then, but when Gretz came to town...I mean, what's not to love?

I have been a Kings fan since 1983 (and I started playing ice hockey in 1988), when my dad took me to my first game at the Forum. I also grew up going to more Angel games than Dodger games, but am a fan of both baseball teams. I know it is weird, and it might not make sense, but it is what it is.

I know this is a BIG BLUE and LITTLE RED thread, but I remember when the Friars actually wore brown...and were owned by the biggest burger flipper...

Go ahead and bash the lack of rings...I get it, but as far as heart and soul goes, we are right up there.

The ultimate irony for SD...we are now owned by descendants of the O'Malley family (following their departure during the Boston parking lot attendants tenure), with TRUE baseball pedigree and $$$ to back it...and contemporary uniforms that are much less brown, and much more blue at heart!

Like you, I grew up a Dodger fan in the late 60's early 70's but had to change in '72 when the Angels utility shortstop moved into my neighborhood and his son i and I are still close friends today.  Still loved the dodger in the '80's with Garvey, the Penguin, Fernando, lopes, Yeager, and even Scioscia were the bomb.

I root for all of the LA teams except when they play the locals.
