Well yeah, that's why he was on the way to the desert. Where else are you supposed to bury a body ?

That happens to be the awesome Hefty Dual Swing Arm bumper.  It's not on their website, but if you call, they will make you one.... 8)

So what's the premium on a custom job like that? I've also been looking at their aluminum skids, any experience with those?

We've got the steel skids - great insurance!! Heavy, but well worth it when those sharp desert rocks start poking at your fluid covers  ;).

Danny X is the only one I know who is running the aluminum.
Solution:  get an eye patch and a parrot, and welcome to the party!!!

I was not there but i believe christian(xxSVxx) lost a bolt or 2, and bent the skid back, also his skids are prototype skids from a friend of his, so not the same as the hefty versions.

Aluminum vs steel has it + and -, + is they are lighter, - is they are more prone to gouging if sliding over rocks with the full weight of the vehicle on them and they cost more than steel.

If you are just doing casual offroad, aluminum could be a good alternative if the additional cost is ok

Yeah, I mis-judged a whoop and the lip where the rad skid meets the oil pan skid caught the earth and....well, yeah...BRRRAAABBRRRRRRR....

(CB COMM - "uh danny....can we stop please".......<10 seconds of silence>....."DANNY....I BROKE MY GIRL"......"gotcha bud, let's stop")

get out

oil pan skid has volunteered to become a plow; unfortunately, there was no snow on the trail, making it's offer useless

before I could wrap my head around what happened....Toro and SIR JOHN OF FULLERTON were under my rig trying to pry it off

Ah....great times!!!!

(I replaced it w/ a steel skid and could not be happier!!)
