April Run Idyllwild?
« on: March 31, 2009, 07:37:57 PM »
Hey everyone, I had fun seeing the old faces, (Brian, Paul, Noon & Micheal plus Trixie) and meeting all of the new faces.

For our April run since its too cold to do the Sierra Nevadas, how about the run we did a couple of years ago when I ran out of gas? Idyllwild, where we hung out with the cows on the mountain and saw those awesome sunsets? Im not sure where the places were, but I know someone on the board knows.

AND CAN WE POTLUCK FOR DINNER EVERYONE???????????

Thanks, Mark the Cable guy.

I'm a maybe for April.  The last weekend is the only one that isn't booked.  If that works I'll see if I can commit to it.
I'd rather be happy than right any day.

Seeing as my parents are from nearby, Me and Em might be game for an Idylwild Run.

The three of us are in for a Saturday trip on the 25th.  Does anybody have any info on how difficult the trail is?

I don't know yet if I'm going to be available for the run this month, and I don't know the Idylwild area well at all (except for the town). If Mitch or Chris can lead something that would be great. If not, if anyone else knows that area and would like to lead a trip please let us know.

It looks like people are leaning towards the weekend of the 25th-26th (4th weekend of the month).

As a side note I may be heading for Anza Borrego on the 18th if anyone is interested. Nothing difficult, just looking for scenery and photo ops.

I couldn't lead as I 'm not that familiar with the trails either, just the roads. Never actually done any truck trails other than Thomas Mountain

Right on!

Sounds like a fun run.

So, this is on the weekend of the 25th for sure?

Where and when is the link-up rally point?

I'm good to go for the 25th - I can do a prerun to check trail(s) if anyone has something in mind!

I am not available to organize or lead this run.  I was hoping I would be but I don't know if I will have that weekend off.  I can offer some suggestions as to trails and stuff but I can't commit to more than that.
I'd rather be happy than right any day.
