Well she has already called.

I need the truck for a vacation as soon as I get back.  So if its waiting on me for a mod day id have to do it within the first week of me being home.  If not I may just bite the bullet and pay for it.

I am making a little extra money out here anyways.

No we dont currently have AAA, although we may be getting it soon.  A few of our friends got it from north of LA to San diego using their AAA.  So for those just in case situations it seems to be killer.

No need to wait on your return for a mod day, I'm sure a few of us could get together and take care of it at your house.

I'm in with Jordan, I've done a few clutches, just not on an X yet.  When my clutch goes, we can teach you how to do one then :D
IMHO don't go 'super' heavy duty, It just wears out your left leg.  A good heavy duty kit is the way to go.
Get one ordered!  We will come.

If you havent ordered a clutch, I can get one from JWT for wholesale, I'll call them and let you know what that price would be.

Alright, all other places quoted her as much or more.

So i think it may be going with you guys.  Jordan let me know how much a JWT would be, as of now i was thinking centerforce, but thats 650 to my door.

Only question is flywheel.  I am hoping its not damaged but what do you guys think i should do about that?  Does anyone know how to resurface one?

JWT flywheel :-)  don't really know til you get at the flywheel to see the condition.  But they can be resurfaced, just like brake rotors.

Do you think it would just be smarter to go with JWT on Clutch and Flywheel?  That would cut the cost about 200 from the Centerforce.

Looking for opinions here.  I cant do a whole lot of research it takes me about 15 min just to load SCCX lol.  Internet connectivity blows on these small ships.

Like Jordan said, wait and see on the flywheel.  Unless it's toasted, you can just resurface it.  You may not need to anything :-\

Well, would it not be smarter to buy them both so when the guys go to do the work its there?  In case its that bad.  It would be a pain to just have to pull everything back out if it is?  I dunno let me know.  Id rather it be a one shot deal.

I can always get the wife to send back within the month.  Id rather get a restock fee or something than have to try and sell it.

That is the way I normally do it, better to be prepared for the worst case.  I didn't get a chance to call yesterday but I will call after work today and get you a price for clutch plus flywheel.

Hey Jordan, when you get the price, check the re-stocking fee.  That may be the smart way to go.

Sesurfac a flywheek:  $30.  New one:  $350.  I've had a lightweight flywheel before from JUN Auto Japan.  They are great because you can shift much faster, engine is more respnnsive and its less rotating mass so you save a bit of gas.

Well let me know.  I am already preparing the wife to cook you guys up some amazing food and baked goods.  She can get the favorite brews and order the parts as required.

I am not a big fan of light weight fly wheels on trucks.  They're great for race cars that like to rev quickly but for off-road grunt, heavy is the way to go.  My 2 cents.
