Preparing for new roof rack install (finally, Xoskel delivers).
Removed the factory rack, using a solder iron and star wrench. The solder iron is a 250W Craftsman that I have owned for over 20 years, and it worked perfectly. Only had issues with one revnut/bolt, and ended up tearing a small hole in the roof removing the last bolt. Oh well.
Dirty roof with leaves etc. underneath the stock wet box

Slowly rotating the revbolt back and forth to loosen the warm thread lock

Dirty little bastards

Pulling the headliner down to get at the last nut with the vice grips...didn't work, but thanks for the tips Toro

All done and topless. Looks kinda like a lifted station wagon! Off to Arizona tomorrow for the roof rack install on Saturday!
