San Diego Fire
« on: May 15, 2014, 03:55:41 PM »
Hey

I think we should organize something to give to those displaced by the fires wrecking San Diego right now...

I have a TON of clothes and other assorted crap I can and will donate.

I reached out via FB to a couple local radio stations and one said a brewery is accepting donations.  It's the Belly Up Tavern, but it's only today and I can't make it down there by 7.

SCCX....does anyone else want to help?  Maybe we just organize a place to meet up and donate some stuff?

Anyone?

Normally I give donations to Red Cross as they are generally good about getting help where needed.

Lots of folks have been calling into the radio stations and they are directing them to the Red Cross to get the donations out. They will also give you a list of what is most needed should you wish to donate.

Here is their website with their contact info: http://www.redcross.org/find-your-local-chapter/search-results?_requestid=314191
