Baby's got new shoes
« on: November 23, 2012, 12:56:40 PM »
Finally join the 285/75/16 club.  The Cooper Discoverer ATPs are on sale for $148 each at America's Tires.  There is also a $50 Black Friday instant rebate.  I got it for $657 out the door.  I still have $30 mail-in rebate for using their store card with 6-month no interest.  I asked to see the tires before I took the plunge.  I couldn't believe how massive they look in person.  So far, I am loving it.  The X gained an inch all around.  The front is 35 1/4 and the back is a little over 35.  I did the melt mod before I went to the store.  But, the passenger side didn't take.  The plastic popped back out. But, it still fits (see pic).  Hehe....  ;D

I know.  They put a ton of tire shine on them.  ;D

The tech at the store put 35 lbs of air pressure on them.  These tires max out at 80 lbs.  How much are you guys running for daily driving?
