Title: I wanna lift my X
Post by: Drew117 on July 21, 2018, 09:15:53 PM
Hey guys so I’m finally ready to lift my 2013 X! Super excited but have no clue what to do lol. I’ve been looking at 2.5 and no bigger than 3” lifts and nothing too crazy in price. Any suggestions and or links to ready lifts, spacer and upper control arms? Thanks guys!
Side note I’ve been looking at the ReadyLIFT® - 2.5" x 1.5" SST™ Front and Rear Suspension Lift kit

And the Dirt King Fabrication® - Upper Uni Ball Heimed Tubular control arms.

Do not do a cheap spacer lift. You will regret it.

I did a cheap ready lift spacer lift on my 07 and it rides like crap over any bumps. Speed bumps are horrendous.

I have to second the spacer lift, they ride pretty bad most of the time.

A new kid on the block is the 6112 bilsteins, they are a 60mm shock so they are an upgrade to the 5100's.  available for around $600 and use stock top mounts.  they offer up to 1.5" of lift and can be run with up to a 1" lift spacer if you want a bit more lift.

You really don't want to run more than 2.5" of lift on a stock width xterra cause you will sacrifice ride quality.

For the rear, go for an add a leaf instead of shackles, yes the shackles are easier but the rear springs are all ready really soft and adding a shackle will not help.
