Title: Military Wash 04/21
Post by: hardrock on April 22, 2011, 02:57:09 PM
I ran Military Wash on April 21.  Weather was great except for gusting winds.

Started at Font's Wash to Military Wash to The Slot then out to Ocotillo Wells.

Looks like it was fun Matt.  I figured out how to move the topic, and added the thingies that make the pics show up in line.

Did you drive down the Borrego Mountain drop-off, or go up Borrego Mtn Wash from San Felipe?  Also, where is that last pic taken?

Hope you can make it next weekend.

Frank- We took Big Wash (San Felipe?) and went south on Buttes Pass Rd through Buttes Canyon.  We then went west to the one way only section then north from the slot (Borrego Mtn Drop off?).
I had a navigator so I'm not positive of the route.

The one way only section was pretty nasty.  Very deep ruts (3-4 feet deep in some sections) alternating on the left and right side of the road.  I could really feel the weight transfer as each front tire dropped into a rut while decending.

The last three pics are in order from the slot heading out north west.

Thanks for moving my post!!

Cool pictures, your truck has a very nice stance.  What size KM2s are you running and what kind of lift?

Thanks Brian!

I have the PRG Advanced kit.  Currently the front is level with the rear.  I'm still debating on installing rear shackles for 1 more inch of lift.
The KM2's are 285/75-16.

yeah that sounds like the drop off. I was tempted to try but I am sure I wold have sat and spun with the tires I have now.
