Dang, wish I could go but I just moved in to a new home and I have lots of unpacking to do. :-(

Frank,
I was inspired by a previous post of yours on The New X and went out to Military Wash today (4/21). The weather was great though very windy.
(Pics to follow if I can figure out how to post.)
I passed through Buttes Pass and also went to The Slot. 4WD is a must on this run!!
Hopefully I can make this one, sounds like fun. I should know early next week.

sorry not trying to jack the thread. But have you seen the video of the guy driving his crown vic at Mohab. I couldn't believe it.
That was a great video. Cool dog too.
By the way, if the weather stays even close to what is forecast right now, it should be really nice out in Anza Borrego on Saturday. Looking like low 80's. Definitely have to stop and pick up an apple pie to go with lunch as we pass through Santa Ysabel.

I'll be at mcd's tomorrow at 8 with one of my dogs riding shotgun. My new camera is charged up and ready to go! See you then...

I didn't realize those dogs could be separated. By the way - It will probably be closer to 8:20 or so at Ramona, as we are meeting at Scripps Poway and Pomerado at 8:00AM.

Thanks Frank for showing a small group an enjoyable day . I particularly like goat trail , next time I might even put it in 4wd. lol I will post of my pic later when I clean them up. Convince mark to get an account here. It was good to see and meet some new people. Look forward to some more adventure while I am here. Even though Mitch turned into an DUD

Thanks again Frank! Nice to meet everyone, hopefully we can get out there again before it gets too hot.

That was fun today. Good to see some old friends, and meet some new ones as well. I've started a picture thread, please post you shots in there too.
It felt really kind of weird having the oldest truck in the group.

. . . . let me know when the next trip is or meet and greet. . . . .
Just keep an eye on the Xcursion Forum, that's where we post the details. Sometimes on short notice, other times more in advance.

get over it already. Ok look at it this way , I had the only newer one that was modded. I would love to have my gen 1 back. Love it . Its is like this , I take pride in being older and able to beat most of the kids in out physical readiness test. I am usually one of the oldest. Your X was the best setup and one of the more capable one there.
