Title: Nissan Tech Manuals
Post by: Bobby B. on April 08, 2011, 11:16:03 PM
Hadn't seen this mentioned here in a long while, so I thought I'd bring it up again, as I needed it but had totally forgot it existed.

While you can pick up a chilton or haynes manual at the auto parts stores, and they're good to have, nothing beats a factory service manual (or FSM).  They are spendy, but there is a way to legitimately get the genuine article at a cheap price.

http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/

At the above site you can pay $20 for a one-day subscription and download the appropriate FSM for your vehicle(s).  Once paid, you do a search for what you want, view and save the chapters of the FSM one at a time as PDF files.  It can take a while, and it helps to add the chapter's description to the name when doing the "save as."

And that's it.  Bring the laptop to the garage or print the pages you need, get them dirty and chuck 'em, whatever works for you.

Nice, thanks Bobby. I had downloaded one for '00 way back when somewhere on some free pdf site. But now with this i can actually know that it applies to my 04.

Good stuff Bobby. You should make this a sticky.
