Hello fellow SCCX members!
The message board has really proven its worth in terms of bringing all SoCal Xterra owners together to share thoughts, pictures, passions and adventures. To enhance it even more, with the blessing of the Board of Directors, we have created our very own Facebook page and Twitter account you can follow.
Here are the details:

Thanks for taking the time and effort to set that up Fred.
I'm still not quite sure what Facebook does, but our cat Aldo said that he liked it, so it must be good.
-
The facebook page is great. I haven't figured out the twitter thing yet. It seems to be a place for random thoughts no one else understands. No room for dialogging. Weird.
-
WOW! That's awsome. Nice to know we are moving ahead with the rest of the world. Very nice.
-
Coming from one of the younger guys... Facebook is a good idea. I'll post up there some.

Not realy a facebook kinda guy but i guess so. :-\ Hell i dont even like to text this is how people lost their personal touch.

Facebook is a great social network, and can only hope to broaden the Club's exposure to other Southern California Nissan enthusiasts.
Not a bad thing, just not everyone's thing.
Not sure how Twitter applies, only if you are in cell range and want to "Tweet" while you are on the trail to your "fans" or "followers." I agree that this is all a bit narcisstic, but what the heck! ;)

Coming from one of the older guys ... I'm still not sure just what Facebook does or how it works. I don't have a Facebook account. My cat Aldo, who is a lot younger than I am, even in cat years, does have a Facebook account, and he has visited the club site. Truth is, though, I'm not sure he gets it either.
Maybe someone can explain it to us.
All that said, I guess any publicity or communication is a good thing.
-
Word on the street is that Aldo just became an admin for our Facebook page!
Time for some good ole Fancy Feast for this fine feline fella! :D
Unless he prefers Meow Mix... :P
-
Are there two of these pages, one you like and the other you friend? For some reason I'm getting two of these things on occasion.
-
Yeah. The official one is the non-conjugated words instead of the other. But you can all join/befriend both. They're essentially the same. One is a personal page and the other is a fan page.
Southern California Club Xterra vs SouthernCalifornia ClubXterra.
My apologies for the confusion.
-
Just asking here...
Would it be better to have one instead of two? If this gets rolling, could one then have content the other wouldn't, or do they merge/overlap?
Just asking. Thanks for doing this Fred.

UPDATE: I changed the name of the personal page to "Xterra Xpedition" and left the fan page as "Southern California Club Xterra" to minimize confusion. The fan page was created thru the personal page and if the personal page is deactivated, so will the fan page.
To all: Please use the link below to direct you to the fan page.
