We had a great turnout, 12 Xterras in all. Weather was perfect, in the low 70's with little wind. We stopped to get some fresh apple pies in Santa Ysabel on the way out, and had a great lunch spot in Sandstone Canyon. I only got a few pics this trip. Thanks to everyone who showed up, it was a great time. Lots of new people, many of whose names I can't remember, hope to see all of you out with us again.
Lined up at Split Mountain while we check out the Anticline.

Here are a few of mine.
Before we met up with everyone else, we stopped so Riley could be attacked by a dinonicus.

We had a great dinner and big campfire. A troop of scouts from Corona came by and shared our fire for awhile. They were excited to get warm, and quickly devoured our leftover cookies and bean-freeto pie.

It was a rough trip for my gear - my Nikon D90 errored out for about two hours and refused to reset following a factory reset and removing the battery. Finally it came back to life after I rotated the mode wheel. Sunday I manged to have my action video camera come lose off the windshield ... fall of the truck as I slowed ... and then I ran over it. :(

Did you get it on video?

Seriously Paul? I brought my Nikon D90 as well and I got some weird error at the very end of trail where we hiked. Good thing it was just the memory card. The Sandstone Canyon/Fish Creek gods must have something against the D90's. :P
It was great meeting new people and seeing some old friends. Thanks for putting this together Frank!
Paul: I gotta learn some techniques from you. I like that Fred Flinstone pic!
Good times everyone!

Paul, you got some great shots there. Glad to see you guys stopped at the Wind Caves on the way out.
-
Great pictures, it looks like it turned out very well. Are there any plans for a December run?
-

Bruce, I'm pretty sure he does go to LMU, actually I think they both do.
How are things going up there anyway? Have you picked a major yet, or is it too soon for that? Hope you can make the next run.
-
Yeah hes in a snowboard club im kind of a part of. Im a Biology major hoping to possibly minor in photography when i figure that out. I've started of pretty rough but am going to change that next semester.
I hope i can make it as well. If not ill need the details for the holiday party. Its to long. I've missed you guys!!!
-
Haha. Ya I go to LMU. I am up in Mammoth right now at the Ski and Snowboard Team's house till Jan 18th.
I'll be here a total of 20 days!!!
I am trying to make a run for next week or a weekend after that somewhere halfway between Mammoth and LA at Dove Springs OHV area. Check out my thread in the Xcursions page.
