Well I am finally settled in here in crappy.. I mean beautiful Pensacola, Florida.
Went Wheeling a few weeks ago to a place like Azusa where they hold mud bogging competitions. I snapped the bolt holding my tensioner in turn making my timing belt fall off. This all happened mid climb up a horribly rutted wash that I had to drop to 2nd just to make it. I actually made it to the top with a slipping timing belt and broke tensioner, without bending any pistons. Talk about luck.
Just wanted to say thank you for all the help, good times wheeling and camping with you all. Those memories will not be forgotten. Hopefully we will cross paths again someday.
Adios

We'll miss you Eric and Betsy. I lived in Panama City for awhile, you may consider trading your truck or a sailboat. :)

Instructor Duty? I think the base is still messed up.

While I don't know you personally like many members here do, I got to meet you on a couple of runs I attended and was left with a good impression of you and Betsy. Best of luck with your new duty station. Pensacola isn't that bad and the beach is beautiful. Whitest sand I have ever seen. I was stationed in Pensacola back in the 80's for a couple of years. One of the things we use to do is canoe cold water creek. It's about 45 minutes east near milton. Also stop by Seville Quarter or Trader Johns and have a beer for me. I liked Pcola after it grew on me and that didn't take long. The Navy has a lot worst places to be stationed (like Mayport and Norfolk) and I think you, like I did, will soon realize it has more to offer than what you see on the surface.
So best of luck to the 2 of you and hope to meet you again in the future.

NO! Don't leave us...
At least keep us posted with the progress on your X and how your local Xterra club there wheels compared to the west coast.
