Title: Nissan High Centered in the Rocks at Glacier National Park
Post by: FrankB on June 03, 2017, 11:10:13 PM
Heather and I spent a few days in late May at Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier National Park.  While there we hiked the 2-mile trail up to Avalanche Lake, and came across this Nissan that appeared to be high centered in a rocky patch near the shore.  I have no idea how it got there.

There are a bunch of pictures on my blog from our trip.  When you get to the end of the first page, if you click Older Posts, there are also some pictures from the National Bison Range, which has a really cool 22-mile graded one-lane dirt road with 10% grades in places and a whole lot of switchbacks.  For that drive we had the most capable off-road vehicle there is - a rental car.

How were you able to get out of that mess without three spare tires, bead setter, adapters for a Taco lug-pattern, overloaded trailer, pre-designated gear ratios, HAM (ticket checked upon entry), lockers, backup tools for your tools, bugsuit...  :-X and any other incidentals I may have missed?

We got out okay; thanks for asking.  Didn't even need the bear spray we were packing.

I didn't see any bear spray on the Dalton list.

I do love it at Glacier National. When we went there a few years ago we would wake up and decide to stay another day which went on for about four extra days.

Either that rock is really big, or that Nissan is a foot long lol

Nice photo.

I'll bet a .45-70 could blast that Nissan off the rock just fine
