Title: Stage III BLM Fire Restrictions
Post by: RikRong on June 01, 2017, 12:00:20 PM
I just thought I would post this up, per the conversation that was taking place in the shout-box.  BLM has stage III fire restrictions in place for most of SoCal.  In addition, they also have a shooting restriction in place for a big chunk of land between San Diego and LA, and a bit inland.

That is incredible...even the desert areas are listed under these very tight restrictions.

Looks like the MRV in September is gonna be another "gas party" without a lift of these restrictions.  Suppose it is for the best with all of the addtional fuel generated with this winters rain storms...

The desert areas surprised me too. Yes, there is fuel but many areas are just sand and dirt.

In looking at that fire restrictions page the mere possession of steel core or steel jacket ammunition is some form of violation but does not directly cite the statute. It really amazes me what they feel they can regulate in this nanny state. These are prime reasons why I strongly advocate people knowing their rights and how to exercise them in an informed and prudent manner.
