Boddington's or Murphy's is always a hit. I have an idea, I will have my fridge/freezer there and you are welcome to store that beer in. You won't have to buy any ice to keep it all nice and cold. It's a 63qt so you can store lots of it in there. See I'm already saving you money...........
Very good. I plan to have my fridge/freeze installed by then, but it's smaller, and I'm sure we can use all the beer storage space we can get!

Potluck competition is for the entire AAV event.
If you cook, you get to eat first. Prize for dutch oven comp is usually a Tembo Tusk Skottle as Jerry typically sponsors the event. (deserts and mains are separated with mains winning the Skottle and deserts winning some other prize. I can't remember what that is off the top of my head)
According to the list on the first page of this post, we have 17 trucks from our group and related groups coming. (people we know)
If we can snag the same spot as last year, we should be fine on space.
If you end up hungry after the Dutch Oven competition, you're doing it wrong

Ran into a guy named Tim (IIRC) on base here. Actually, he ran me down in the parking lot at work. He told me he's hung out with you all at previous Rendezvous. He drives a white Taco with a camper shell that has MaxTrax mounted on the roof, has an ARB front bumper, sliders, newer gen Taco wheels, and Radflo remote reservoir shocks up front. Seemed like a pretty cool guy. We sat and chatted for a few minutes.
If that's the guy I'm thinking of he had a camp just above the SCCX compound and you are right he is a really cool guy.

As I remember it he was near camp Duffman and had a really nice white Taco. He was only able to stay for a little while and had other obligations so he left early.

Joe and Morgan with the fire pits. Which reminds me; I have a great idea. With some folks (not naming RDBuffer) having trouble with names, what about if the next time we do something to aid our (often aging) memories? Like, use name tags! We could just use the sticky type, and maybe would could have one tag with our forum nickname and another with our real name. We could even take it a step further and use the opportunity to do "ice breaker" activities, like sharing something unusual about yourself, or name your favorite hobby :)
Beyond this idea to make the next outing even better, I also want to thank everyone who cooked and otherwise helped pull this off, we had a great time and look forward to the next round.
