I'm going to head out to Anza Borrego this Tuesday 4-11 to look at pretty flowers and explore the mud caves and slot canyons in the Arroyo Tapiado/Seco Del diablo area (S. SW of Diablo drop-off). If anybody feels like joining in a mild hike/offroad day trip, let me know and we can arrange a meet up place and time. I'm willing to explore other areas too, (head down Diablo drop off to Fish Creek etc.) if time allows.

I was just there last Monday, not too many wild flowers left. I'd love to go back soon before it gets really hot though, I had my wife and 20mo. old daughter with me so I didn't want to get too far off the beaten path without another vehicle in our party.

Yeah, I'm not expecting the superbloom that everyone else saw but this is the first real chance for me to get out there. I hope there are a few areas left with a little bit of bloom. If not, the desert is beautiful with or without it's flowers.

actually the cactus are now starting to bloom so it's still pretty out there.

Looking forward to seeing pictures and hearing about your trip from today!

Not Much with the flower blooms left. Ocotillos still going and a few wildflowers but that was about it. Then again we were mostly in the south west to middle. Mostly barren badlands. Still had a great time hiking the slot canyons and mud caves. Too bad the temps are about to soar and exploring the desert will have to be put on hold for awhile.
