This Wednesday March 29 I will be installing my brand new, much needed Old Man Emu rear springs.
Celt will be here sorting out a rear axle and whatever else goes wrong with Jeeps >:D
I know that midweek doesn't work for most, but just throwing it out there in case you lost your job or your mistress and need a place to hang before going back home.
-
I second that and might even bring some obligatory PBR!
-
I'll watch the live stream from work.
-
I don't think either of these old timers even know what a live stream is let alone how to set one up lol. It would probably break the internet.

I think you are exactly right.....

A live stream is when I can pee for more than 3 seconds at a time :P

Ya know some day after some of us are worm dirt these whippersnappers might very well say they can feel our pain and if not they will without a doubt one day be exactly where we are.

Good day wrenching, getting dirty and talking a bunch of smack to each other! I figured I would post the "live stream of the action"!

Thanks Erik for coming out and turning a chore into a fun day.

But we did get a triple scoop of some Thrifty ice cream so you have to look at the bright side of things!

Amazingly, Thrifty really did have good ice cream. And, they were at about the halfway point on my walk to and from grammar school . . . which was about 2 miles uphill in the snow each way, all year round, in East Los Angeles.

You ain't kiddin that ice cream was good. CVS still has it surprisingly enough. I did recently try to buy some auto parts using some green chip stamps but the little snowflake behind the counter just gave me a blank stare and went directly to his phone to see what I was talking about.

i loved thrifty's ice cream. My babysitter used to take us there :)

It's actually Rite Aid that still carries it, not CVS. Thrifty Drugs was purchased by Rite Aid in the mid 90s, and they eliminated every part of the Thrifty brand EXCEPT for the Ice Cream because it was so recognized. I still pick up a half gallon of Chocolate Malted Krunch there every month or two. :)
I actually got to visit the Thrifty Ice Cream factory about 10 years ago down in El Monte. My cousin is a truck driver and I was riding along with him when he had a pickup of a load of ice cream from there. We were both super excited and when the workers saw how giddy we were, they gave us a brief little tour of the factory and warehouse. It was really cool, literally! O0

You don't know about the secret menu from CVS that offers Thrifty ice cream? It's kind of like getting a 6x6 at In-N-Out these days......
