Just before 5am on Monday, February 27th, there was a chain reaction TC in front of me on the 210. I did my best to avoid hitting the Tacoma in front of me, but still ended up getting the right rear corner of his bed. Needless to say, his bed vs. my Shrock was no contest, but due to the angle I hit him, plus my hard swerve, I ended up on my side. Fire and CHP told me that, though it sucks, I did the right thing as I would have ate him for breakfast had I hit square on. The good news is, we all walked away, no injuries. I got the word on Thursday that USAA was totaling my rig. Apparently I got the frame up front when I went over/through.
I took what I could from her, but she's now resting at Copart in Rancho Cucamonga. She's not on their website yet, but I'm sure she will be towards the end of this coming week. The Ironman 12K winch with synthetic line is still on her, but the control box was shattered. It looked like the electronics may have still been intact. The Shrocks didn't even know something had happened so, other than a bit of a scrape on the right side of the front bumper, they are in great shape. The armor underneath is based on Shrockworks and it seemed that it didn't care something had happened either. The Ironman Instant Awning with Foretrex mounts is pristine. Oh and the WAAS sensor for the Lowrance is still on the roof. I rescued the Lowarance HDS7M and the custom mount that Steve and Kenny made for it, so I have it at home.
I had to have surgery back in January and I'm still out on disability, so I don't have the money to buy her back and fix her into a trail only rig, but there may be some good opportunities for club members to use her "donated organs" to help their rigs out.
Here's some photos from the scene:

OK John, in order:
Very glad that you are OK.
Super sucks about your rig.
Thank you for inviting us vultures to gain from your loss :-\
Where the hell have you been! You don't write, you don't ..... Back Surgery?
Sorry 'bout my rant... It's good to here from you pal. I missed ya.

Thanks and you're welcome :)
You do know you can write or message me on FB or call my cell too :P
I had surgery to remove some cysts from my throat, uvula, and fix some issues with nasal passages etc. The found an abnormal growth under a tonsil so all that came out too. I'm better and with luck, will be back to work within a week or so.

Indeed, so glad your safe, good that all those airbags were there to help protect you!
-
Wow, glad you walked out unharmed. This would be a great opportunity to get parts i need, so thanks for the offer. Will be shooting you a PM to help you financially while I gain much needed parts.

Good thing you bobbed instead of a weave. A straight on collision is just nasty. Glad you are ok through it, stinks about the total though.
-
Sorry about the truck, but most importantly, I'm glad you and everyone is okay.

It's great you are okay. Toys come and go but being able to walk away from an accident like that is very fortunate.
Sorry for the loss of the rig though. Real bummer

Glad you are fine, hate to see another X hit the junkyards!
Will USAA pay out well enough for all the add-ons, are you still allowed to take anything from the truck that they won't pay you for? I have read several say they have to strip off as much as they can since insurance would not pay out for them. I would think you could have the easy stuff for sure like the awning.
