Title: Body bruised, heart broken...
Post by: Impact619 on July 18, 2016, 10:51:43 AM
So this happened last Friday...  :/

I was turning left on a green arrow and this clown blew right through the red light in the oncoming lane.  I don't think he was looking at the road at all... don't remember hearing any screeching brakes.

And, to top it all off, of course he was driving without insurance!  Been awhile since I've posted on here, but I wanted to make this a reminder to get uninsured motorist coverage if you don't already have it!  Thankfully I have it, so my collision deductible is waived, and I also have rental car coverage so I'm not stuck without transportation.

Body shop is closed on the weekends, so I'll start the process today of finding out what and how long it'll take to put her back on the road.

Be safe, everyone!

Hehe... good idea!  Have a feeling the insurance won't do that for me, though... lol

Glad no one was seriously injured.

I thought others have figured out a way to get after market bumpers rather than stock bumpers after accident.  Or maybe I'm just dreaming..... ::) ::)

If true, hopefully they will chime in...

I used to live right there on the corner of Nordahl and Center....that area is absolutely horrible.  Too many red lights in a short distance with too many people trying to avoid them.  Glad you're ok!

Yep, I still hurt all over, but thankfully both of us got out of our cars and were walking around.

(Trying to imagine what his car would have looked like if I'd had a giant metal bumper on the front of my truck...  ;D)

Yeah, and just a ton of traffic rolling through there overall.

I say take the insurance quote and take the cash to get yourself a new bumper and the hood fender and lights all easy to replace. Well that's if there's no frame damage.
