CVXterra swung by my place this morning. We whipped up some brackets with some X mounts + crap I had laying around in my garage for his awning.
I think they turned out pretty good.
We used 2" C-channel and 2" 1/8 flat stock. A little bit of hot glue and......

Attached the mounts to them and the awning......

Oh nice! I was out shooting today and even though the temp was nice, the sun was out... This is a sweet setup! My list of things I need to do to the X just got longer.

Those look AWESOME! Far better than the no-weld stuff I've been seeing people do with the X-towers. You 'da man.

Are you F'in kidding me? That looks sick.. Is there anything people can't to with the Xterra's?! BTW. You guys need to make these and sell em for those of us who are a little to dee dee dee to fab things.. =)

Cannot thank Danny enough for the time and energy. Learned a lot and had a great time. Look forward to more mods down the road! Also want to give a shout out to PainRoller, FixItGuy, and knightrider. All of you played a role in making this happen and it is appreciated!
Now I gotta get out there and do stuff!!!!! Cannot wait to test these out.

Looks great!! That awning and room combo is something I've been considering for awhile. Looks pretty cool
