Title: Help!
Post by: ManduhO on February 12, 2016, 05:49:07 PM
Might be a long shot, but I finally got around to "installing" my new stereo....I am at a loss for the wiring. I've got a wiring harness (2 actually) but it looks like I'm gonna have to cut and splice wires...totally out of my realm. Anyone near Big Bear, or happen to be coming up this weekend and wanna help an idiot out? If you're nearby, I'm willing to come to you. HELP!

Did you see there is a Mod day tomorrow at Duffer's?  Bring your rig and mods.  Someone is always willing to help out.  O0

No I didn't! Where's he at? Hubs said he is gonna look at the wiring tomorrow but he's a snowmaker at one of the resorts up here and has to sleep a lot. I'm totally willing to drive. I feel so dumb...I work in IT and swap wires on servers all day, but this damn stereo is beyond me  :-[

Where are you located?  (If you haven't gotten help)   You shouldn't have to splice any wires.  If you got a harness that plugs into the factory harness you really only have to match colors to the stereo's harness.

I'm in IT as well..  I hate electrical but I'm good at it. =(

Just saw this.... Mod day's usually are posted up under SCCX Xcursions.... example Mod Day Sat. Feb 13 @ Duffman's (http://www.sccxterra.com/smf/index.php?topic=3602.0;topicseen)

Hope you got the wiring figured out...  :-\

I got it in, thanks all! The connector caps I had were totally wrong and that's why I was baffled.
