While most of you all were out enjoying scenery I usually see everyday, I joined JeniorNV and her parents, jbumx2, and Pathung from ClubFrontier up in Grass Valley CA for some winter wheeling.  It was good to meet some new people from the forums and have some fun in the snow and mud.  Everyone made it out, with no incidents, so it was a great weekend.

Day 2, the historic SUV run. It was said to be for stock vehicles, but the conditions were nasty and muddy.  I'm not sure many "stock" SUVs would've made it through a couple of the spots.

There's only one way to learn...Jen and her parents in the Tacoma live in that area, so they're used to snow driving. However, it was Joe's and Patrick's first time driving in conditions like this and they did great.

I'm not going to lie, this was one of my most stressful off-road trips. I have plenty of experience in the snow, but this was slick. It was raining, making it icy. Everyone was sliding everywhere. I tried to stay out of the ruts, but they kept sucking me in. Getting a quick slide to one side, while on the edge of a ravine, can get the adrenaline going.
