Has anyone ran into this on your X? Driver side seat belt is wet/cold when it rains or get's very cold. Seams I have a leak into the pocket where the seat belt sits.
I've looked at all the weather stripping and it seems fine. Only thing I can think of, is the roof rack (OEM) has a rivnut that's leaking into it. There is only one that actually runs above where the issue is occurring.
Would it be worth tearing off the headliner and sealing from there? Or would it be enough to try and back out the nut a little on the roof, and use some RTV to plug it before tightening back down?
Thank you in advance for any help!

Did you buy your X used? If so, not knowing what the previous owner did with the rack, that sounds like a reasonable source for the leak. I'd start with that and just find a gasket for those screws. If your headliner isn't getting wet then looking under it for a leak may not be the best place to start.

I did buy it used. Headliner has no wetness that I can see/feel.
I will start with that screw and run the hose on it, and go from there. Thanks Tom!

We can pull the headliner to check things out (see what I did there? I said "we").
Along the lines of what Tom's saying...you can gently/cautiously remove the roof bolts, put RTV in the holes, and reinsert the bolts. The RTV will dry, seal and rack will remain serviceable.

I used to get a bad drip from my drivers side Holy $h!t handle,
it was from my roof wind visor , the nuts had been pulled through .
I bought it used >:(

Appreciate that. I need some other stuff to bring, so it's not just boring headliner pull...maybe I'll grab a few lights to wire up!

Good to know! Used is always tough, especially if you didn't go through a private sale.
Thanks everyone!
