Title: Mod day in Sep...
Post by: OffRdX on August 19, 2015, 07:52:14 PM
Picking up my InSain front and rear bumpers the first week of September.  Going to be installing them on a weekend in September, I haven't figured out my work schedule.  My roommate and I can handle the install but I wanted to put an invite out to you guys so I could get a chance to meet some of the SoCal crew.

If anyone has anything they need to work on I have plenty of room and enough tools to go around.

If Mike and Barb (PainRoller) get their InSain bumpers by then, you guys can make it a bumper install party! :)

I'm open to delaying it a few weekends if I need to.  My diesel needs some attention so that'll keep me busy.

Depending upon when this is in Sept, I need to remove a gas tank from under the driver's seat and dura coat a tub.

I'd love to come hang out.

I'm busy the weekend of 9/12, but other than that I'm there!  I'm a pretty good hold stuff and move stuff guy.  Occasional stubborn bolt persuader guy, too.

Right on, we'll see if there are any other takers for one of those then.

Your just asking for trouble with that kind of talk ;)

Sounds like fun.  I was going to say 'I'm in', but the whole alley thing...

I might have an ARB bumper to play with in late September...have to see what happens.  Sept. is another busy month.  :)

i swear i replied to this thread yesterday, guess not.

i have a transmission jack that i used when i installed my hefty, made the job super simple because it has a tilting plate so lining up the holes and whatnot is easier, i can bring it by.

If I was going to be around, I would have some sliders and front bumper that'll need to be installed.  Unfortunately, I'll be going back up to Grand Forks for about 1.5 months, starting next week.  Why do you all do all the fun stuff when I'm out of town? haha  :'(

To be fair, it's probably like a 3 hour drive for you each way anyway.  :-\

Maybe we'll just have to do ANOTHER mod day. There is never a shortage of people needing a hand with mods.  ;D

True, but I'm always up for a mini road trip.

HEY!! That's GREAT news!!  ;D

We, unfortunately, have not been given a drop date for our bumpers.  But we are definitely interested in coming and helping.  We love MOD days and probs can think of something to do.  ;)

I can do the 19th or 26th, does that work?

Those dates work for us as well (so far).  And with any luck, we will have our bumpers by then as well.  But nobody hold their breath....

I was going to come by just to hang out and help turn some wrenches (plus I love to bring chocolate chip cookies, because it gives me an excuse to eat several of them. :)), but sounds like I won't be able to make this one. The 26th is my wedding anniversary and I believe the wife and I will be out of town. Have fun everyone!

There is a good chance I'll be able to make it; I don't think I'll have anything to work on by then, so I can be a wrench hand.

Well I was able to fix the fuel leak on the Duramax so it's out of the garage, plenty of room to work now.  (http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/23/b104dcb9c253f574723b614eb712bc93.jpg)

Sorry to back out - deciding to go to the ATT BBQ instead.
I feel bad, 'cuz I said we would help and you put off your installation, but I'm so mad at INSAIN FAB right now that I don't even want to look at one of their bumpers..... :'( :'( :'(

Dude... you could have at least referenced a company that didn't disappear from the face of the earth like 20 years ago. Me personally, I'll be at the Verizon Picnic.  ;D

My bad

Now back to the Mod Day!

Anyone still interested?  I already have the bumpers on.  I was going to spend the day wiring and spooling the winch.  The lights need to get wired as well.  PM me and I'll get you the address and my #.

I think this ran up against FREE FOOD, trail runs, camping opportunity.  Did I mention FREE FOOD?!?!

If you want to come to the BBQ - I'll share my food with ya!  I'd love to meet you and chat about your new bumpers....  ;)

Edit:  And if you are up to it - run the SCCX AAT 2N02, camp overnight, etc.  Great way to meet this mostly harmless motley crew... ;D
