thanks for the warm welcome do i need to use a photohosting site like photobucket to post pics

Welcome from Murrieta (near Temecula, about 20 minutes south of Riverside).
You can use a photohosting site if you want to embed full size images in your posts, like this:
(http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee234/jfanaselle/69%20S.jpg) (http://s231.photobucket.com/user/jfanaselle/media/69%20S.jpg.html)
You'll need to size the images correctly, as the forum doesn't resize them for you. I find that 800x600 seems to work just right for me.
You may also "attach" files diretly to your post, and insert the attachment into your text. This hosts the image directly on the site, but it doesn't appear the same way in your post and will require clicking on it in order to see it in it's true size. To do this, click on "additional options" on the lower left portion of the screen when creating a new post or reply, and browse for a file using the "attach" field. You can attach up to 9 images I think by clicking on "more attachments." To insert this attachment into your text, click on "insert attachment" next to the correct file with the cursor in the correct location within your post. It will look something like this:
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Anyway, welcome and happy wheeling!

Welcome from the OC. Be careful, associating yourself with this crew is rather infectious and you never know what you'll catch, but it usually ends up with an empty wallet. ;D

Notice the "Open for Breakfast" sign in the window. I wonder if they serve awesome peanut butter pancakes?

Back on track...I spent a little time off roading in your area a couple of years back. 2012 to be exact. Dug around the Burro Schmidt tunnel and cruised Last Chance Canyon. Randsburg also looks like a fun spot, but probably gets a little crazy with the weekend ATV crowd.

We also geocached along Trona Rd. and saw a Ferrari club airing it out...which along with the F-18 fly by from NAWS made it a complete speed fix.
This would be a fun area to explore...lots of mining history and cool trails. Just need to find the time. :)
-
When are we going? Better be soon or it's going to get HOT.
Maybe in the winter?
-
I was actually just in trona today for work and the F-18s are daily for me i am about a quarter mile from the back gate of NAWS i go out towards Wagon Wheel OHV about every weekend unless i got the money to go out further. Have been out to Burro Schmidt a couple times been on a pretty tight budget since getting out here but luckily I have family and friends here that help out I grew up here my wife didn't still getting her used to this kind of wheeling she grew up in Kansas and is just now after two years possibly gonna have a job been tough with two kids on one paycheck but things are on the move up for us. So gonna be getting out more once she gets working plus my job has hit busy season.
