Hi guys and gals, my name is Tom. I'm 30 years old and I recently picked up a bone stock 2011 Xterra S 4x4 AT with just over 40k on the odometer. I am new to Xterras, but seasoned with vehicles (Xterra makes it vehicle #18) and four wheeling (10 years experience). I work in the auto industry for a tire manufacturer and have been an avid custom vehicle builder for over 14 years. I am trying to keep the build on my Xterra mild and this is what I have done so far:
-Medium tint on front windows and limo tint sun strip on windshield
-LED interior lights and license plate lights,
-All weather mats
-Hi/Lo HID headlights
-Cobra CB radio with Wilson Antenna
I plan to:
-Paint the stock wheels black for now until I get new wheels
-Upgrade to LT285/75R16s or LT285/70R17s (if I go with 17s)
-Melt Mod
-Install my Pioneer Double Din Radio, door speakers, subs and amps
-Optima Red Top Battery
-LED light bars
-Lift the front to level out the height
-Paint the grille black
-Exhaust
-K&N filter
And hopefully that's it, but I most likely see a bigger lift, bumpers, skids, sliders, lockers and gears coming in the future once I get bored or buy a second vehicle as a daily driver.
I like to go 4 wheeling, camp, fish (mostly fresh water), target shoot and skeet shoot, ride my fat tire bicycle, play video games (Xbox One), smoke hookah occasionally, customize vehicles, listen to/write/sing music and more.
I look forward to learning things about my Xterra as well as meeting and wheeling with other members on this forum.

Thanks for the warm welcome folks. A good group of people that like to wheel is exactly what I am looking for GreenGoon. I don't plan on doing any difficult trails for some time though. Not until I am in a position to get a daily driver and get the X its proper equipment, but I wouldn't mind doing some of the milder or more scenic trails and I love doing snow runs and I ran Cleghorn last weekend. The rain rutted the heck out of the main fire road that made parts of it as fun as some of the off shoots and some of my favorite off shoots were pretty challenging for my stock X.
I am headed up to Big Bear to attempt a snow run tomorrow (12/13). Feel free to let me know if anyone is interested in meeting up.

Welcome from North San Diego County! ;D
You'll learn quickly...the heavier (armor, bigger tires) your X gets...the lighter your wallet gets! ;)
Great first post! Check out the Xcursions thread, we are planning a couple of stock friendly runs in the not too distant future.

Welcome from Pasadena. I'm new around here too, maybe we can tag along on a trail run.
