Title: Moving to SD! AGAIN....
Post by: OffRdX on November 08, 2014, 05:05:51 AM: I would think the gov't would be tired of moving me coast to coast but here I am, transferring to SD. I'm not going to complain too much, I grew up in CA and the East coast has just never done it for me. I'll be making the drive next month, leaving VA on the 17th. Hopefully I'll make it home for Xmas.

I've got a '10 model, picked it up new from Mossy Nissan in El Cajon back in Sept of '10. She stayed pretty much stock until last Sept. It's been a busy year for the X though. After I get back from deployment it's going to get another makeover.

Ya man! They aren't too pleased with my departure. Had a few drinks with a couple of the guys the other night. They have promised all sorts of sorcery to get me back to VA. Jerks...

My trip starts in two weeks, getting pretty antsy. Not being busy at all isn't helping, all I want to do is leave.

Post by: OffRdX on December 21, 2014, 06:50:57 AM: I made it in one piece. Dropped my trailer off in San Diego and headed up to the Central Valley for the holidays. I averaged 11mpg doing about 63mph. West Texas was rough as usual. Getting over the pass on 8 past Ocotillo Wells was a little hairy but took it slow and didn't have any problems. Felt good to ditch the 550bs behind me yesterday afternoon. Forgot how much I missed doing 80mph on the freeway.
