Title: Resource for CB Install/Maintenance/Tuning
Post by: LupinOne on April 29, 2014, 11:52:01 PM
Some of you already are familiar with the shop in Fontana, but for those that don't yet know it, or aren't here yet while I'm typing this, I'd like to highly recommend CB Radio Stores. Address is 15252 Valley Blvd, Fontana.  Phone - 909.428.0340

I talked with Paul Moore who is one of the principals with the shop and he really knows his stuff.  He's very down to earth and friendly.  In less than 5 minutes he had my antenna issue resolved and also had a good filter for my radio.  They can bench check your boxes and service as needed.  The location can be a bit confusing as there are 2 trailers (and yes, that's the shop.) near one another with large antenna's.  I'm including a graphic to help you get to the right spot the first time.

The trailer with the yellow arrows is the correct trailer.  Entrances marked in blue off of Beech and Valley Blvd.  The small yard to the north bordered in red is NOT the location you want (but the dogs were friendly to me... :P )

Yeah, Paul is a nice guy.  A talker.  They have lots of HAM gear and carry lots of 10m and cb radio stuff like FireStik.  They aren't cheap,  but they are very good.  Just look for several massive, weird looking antennas above their trailer.

I also recommend High Desert CB if anyone is traveling up 395 to the Eastern Sierras. His shop is mobile and he is open Tuesday - Saturday at the truck stop in Hesperia where the 15 meets the 395.
