How to weld. The first thing I have planned is making some skids for the Xterra, then maybe a rear bumper. I'm super excited about this. When it happens I'll definitely post some pictures.
Does anyone have some recommendations as far as a design?

No sense reinventing the wheel. Copy one of the popular brands and make whatever mods suit you. That's the fun of it. ;D

That's what I was thinking too. Looking at White Knuckles sliders. Would square tubing be okay for the actual slider part or round tubing? Kind on concerned on finding a tube bender.

white knucles use square tubing for the slider, and round for the step/kickout.

Comp4x4 has good builder/Diy parts.

Okay, so if I used square for the step out would that be okay?

Thanks for the lead.

Square tube will still work. Just make sure you don't use thin material.
For bumpers if you want the plates cut, we can cut it at the CNC at the shop.

For the front or rear? If I gave you measurements could you you cut for a front?
-
We can cut the plates doesn't matter front or back. Just need measuemts. Or the solideorks file

Okay, once I have a chance to start measuring I'll let you know.
