Title: Jacked Up Avalanche in Irvine
Post by: HEVAK on February 28, 2013, 06:58:11 PM
Spotted this beast at the Irvine Auto Mall off the 5. I had stalked down the owner to find out some info on his suspension set up. He is a mechanic at one of the dealerships. Real cool guy with a sick rig.

Two Wheel Drive, Titan Swapped, King Suspension, Chopped front bumper

I don't understand putting that much time, effort and expense into a 2wd. Why not spend the extra 1-2k initially and have a more capable vehicle from the get go?  ???

All those mods only to be strapped over every obstacle.

Baja Rack I think?

Looks like one of their wind deflectors in the top picture.

Ah, yes it is. I'd say nice rack, but that might sound inappropriate  ;D

Thanks man.. I keep hearing a certain person saying a waist of $ on a 2wd. And still have to laugh because this truck gets me anywhere i want to go. Just modded ecu and it pulls like a mutha! I'm not a crawler.. But I'll climb anywhere i want to go with My trailer and bike's I tow.

Do you have a spool or a rear locker on that thing?

I remember seeing this one before. Been along time. I miss having my X being 2wd TS since it could take pretty much whatever I pointed it at.

Your solid axle will do way better once you get it all right.
