The drive up to Clark's summit (in BigBear) is real nice when it snows. Unfortunately it's been a little slow in the snow department around here. The best place to romp and stomp around in the snow would be a bit far in places like Mammoth.

Holcomb Valley just North of Big Bear has some snow and ice right now, pretty muddy in places too, I was just out there yesterday. Big Bear is going to get a nice snow storm tomorrow night so there will be some snow to play in by the weekend.

Some of the trails near Idyllwild may have snow on them this weekend.  B Canyon and Rouse Ridge are nice easy routes that see some snow at around 3000ft occasionally.

I live off Fairview in Hemet.  I'll probably be up there this weekend as well.  Looking at snow down to 2500 feet this weekend.  That should cover about the last half of the Rouse Ridge route to Lake Hemet.  Approx. 30 miles.  If anyone needs guidance on that route, let me know.  I just ran it last night.

I'll be in Arrowhead this weekend.  Wish I could come to Big Bear and play.  I promised the wife a romantic weekend away for our anniversary and off roading is not her idea of fun or romantic.  :'(

I was at Holcomb Valley over the weekend. There was a decent amount of snow and a few nice mud holes. Lots of fun.

i knew there wasnt going to be much around these parts

i live in Claremont, has anyone been up around Mt Baldy? any where to run around in that area? i was talking to one of my mechanics and he used to live in Upland and said theres a bunch of unmapped areas to run around but im not that adventurous

if i can find enough time, maybe Idyllwild is an option though?

thank you all!

Idyllwild is definitely an option.  The snow out here is low and thick.  If anyone plans on coming out tomorrow and needs any guidance, PM me.  I live less than 5 min. from most of the trail heads starting near the first fire station going to Idyllwild.  My X is still stock so I don't know how we'll it'll handle the snow but I'd be happy to guide anyone up to the snow line at least.

Well, you got yourwish.  Last night it snowed down to 2500' ft. and the entire Cajon Pass got blanketed.  Have fun up there.  Remember to air down your stock tires down to @ 16psi for better snow traction and carry two way radios at minimun.  Go prepared!
