I hope they provide ice chisels....BURRR
Are we PM'ing w/ the date we prefer or just posting as a reply?
Agreed Ray.
I don't think we will actually be working, as much as meeting the Ranger, driving the road and formulating a trail maintenance plan for the year.
That means we have behave ourselves ::)
Inside voice...and keep your hands to yourself...and please, please, resist the urge to slap Terry.
So what did I do now? You know I have been cured... No more of this for me....
I'm good for either day right now. But I'm with Ray, let's pick the least ice cold day ;) The brochure said nothing about snow and ice and cold :P Are there any indoor roads we can fix?
Well guys, I suppose we can wait for a date in March...but I'd personally rather not wait. I don't think this will be a big "work" party, but just not sure yet.
We have always run the SCCX Rattlesnake Canyon Run the last week in February, and the temps and weather are always cold/windy/snowy.
Worst case scenario, I can head up and meet with Ranger Greg and take care of the preliminary Trail Maintenance plan and then communicate it back to everyone for implementation later when it warms up.
Thanks again for all of your interest.
John/GhostX
If I can follow you guys in my stock 4x4, count me in! May have the 2" installed by then but can't be positive - basically booked every weekend before hand so probably won't have time.
I'll bring my shovel just in case. 8)
I'd be up for the 16th of Feb, what time should we be up there?
Hi John, Saturday, February 16th it is. Can we meet at Big Bear Discovery Center (parking lot) at 0900?
Should be a great day!
Thank you,
Greg.
Thank you John :)
You bet Michelle...I am sure you and James have been busy lately
Great news John
Count me as a confirmed.
Is there any equipment required for this meeting or are we just doing a walk-through?
Count me in. Tom and I have been going through Pioneer Town up to Burns Canyon. Been nice til you get to Big Bear and hit the snow and ice.
**Edited**
Looks like no work. My wife and i were wondering if this whole thing would be kid friendly then and if we need the full getup. Basic Snow and ice is fine, but do i need the full recovery/cb/etc or are we good with stock for this?
Well i shouldnt be stock im getting my full suspension on the weekend before, but have basic AT tires still.
Maybe just take situation day by day? Circumstances may change by end of week? Wishful thinking on my part. This " situation" the part in riverside...occurred just a couple of cross streets from where we live. Probably be safer to stay together as a group....than for individuals to go off individually? And, one has to wonder if the center of the situation is even still up there...
All day. Some work. Gloves. They need cb radios or Hams. Food and water. Plenty to plan. Thank you.

Nilda say's if she can add her shotgun to the tool list, she's in ;D
Thanks for keeping us posted, I'm sure everything will turn out fine.
Looking forward to it ;)
I will not be able to attend this, My wifes work has changed saturday to a work day.
They are trying to get two reels out on the film they are working on. Cannot do the whole day with a toddler and clean.
Sorry guys hope to do one soon.
Looks like we will be safe in Big Bear this weekend.
Pretty cool, our Club is listed on the Adopt A Trail website already for supporting Trail 2N02...check it out when you have time.[/b]
How was last night's meeting, all?
WHO IS LEAVING FROM S. ORANGE COUNTY SATURDAY MORNING?
WHO IS LEAVING FROM S. ORANGE COUNTY SATURDAY MORNING?
I'll probably leave around 6:30 to make sure I get there on time....wouldn't mind having a partner or two on the road to chat/follow/amaze with my BA driving skills....lol
We're leaving the OC at 6:30. Let's roll
I hope to be on the parkinglot known as the 91E around 7ish...I have to hustle to get there that fast but at 6:30am it should be relatively open...
Ray/Ashley, Christiaan
what time would you all get to the S. Corona area? There's an exit in Riverside on 91E at Arlington. There's a new Baker's fast food rest right there catercorner from the exit. James and I could meet you there in the parking lot. We could be there just before you all showed up. And, a block up (on same side of hwy) is the on-ramp headed east. It would be an easy whiz off and whiz back on. Whadda ya think?
PM me with your cell, or set your CB to channel 24. See ya in da mornin ;)

I would just like to take a moment to thank John for all of the hard work that he put in to putting this together. I know that he is very humble, but thank you for doing the work to make AAT possible for us. You are appreciated.

You are all very welcome...couldn't have done it without everyone's support. :)
Yep. I worked hard to demonstrate the negative G affects water and mud have when a vehicle hits them at a rate of speed equal to or greater than 20mph.... ;)
Willy Wonka in the house!! ;) ;)
