Title: Elliott Mine Cache
Post by: RockinX on November 09, 2012, 06:42:33 PM
The "Gould or Gold" cache was placed at Elliott Mine in Northern San Diego by Dave/dhsundance during an SCCX Xcursion a few years ago with the help of the SCCX gang.  Here's a link to the geocaching details.  You will notice Parsa (Steve) logged a find of this cache.  He used to be an active SCCX member and is a Route 66 fanatic.  He has 2245 finds and 35 hides.  :o  Elliott Mine Cache (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=fee976d0-2adf-4e1b-b2c5-bd3cd3ca1429)

Another great photo essay Marshann.

A cache pretty close to the US/Mexico border.  Looks like maybe a fun day trip is in order...hasn't been found since July of 2011.  :)

I really like the Zebra painted Gen 1 Xterra...reminds me of the old Lion Country Safari park Jeep Cherokees that you would see when wandering amongst the animals.  Remember that crazy place...you would drive through fields of wild animals out in the open??

Kinda like Jurassic Park circa 1975.

Growing up in Mission Viejo I remember that place vividly....

Crazy place and somewhere my family has some crazy shots of Lions walking next to our car.....

Just realized that these pictures are of valley of the moon, I've  been going out here since I've been in so cal. Shooting, camping, rock crawling, climbing mountains running from the border patrol after accidentally entering mexico.  Good times.  Found a couple caches out there before I knew what geocaching was.  One is only accessible by rope and harness.

Hey Jordan,
you'r killing me :o  I'm too old/slow to have instant whatever on my phone.  I don't text and I only go on-line maybe once a day.  My phone does do the voice to voice thing though.  I'll Pm you with my voice code. ;D
