Hey Jordan.  The shocks are great.  Thx for meeting me in Temecula.

Ha! My exhaust used to look like that. Couple of runs with these guys, not so much anymore. They make you do all kinds of stuff you or your rig aren't ready for  :o  I'm kidding of course!!

Welcome!!

Yes, we twisted Ray's arm off getting him to modify his rig...he wasn't excited about the mods at all.   ;)

Your Xterra will do just fine on a few of the 2WD friendly runs...wait for some of the Anza Borrego runs to Blair Valley.

As a matter of fact, if you want to come up for CANVAZ next weekend, the Skyline Drive run being led by RBDuffer/Randy is very 2WD friendly.  You could make a day of it and then skip the Jacoby Canyon portion (where 4WD and a lift are needed).  Check out the Xcursion thread and let us know if you can make it.

I like the rims. Very cool. We want to do that with our LR Disco.

Great looking rig, like the mods SO FAR.  When   you decide to do a litle more, drop the mud flaps and save them in the attic.
Like John said, if you can't join us in BB, we will be going to Anzo Berrego soon.

Mud flaps have been off for a couple of years (see 1st pic).  They were finally sold for $20 a couple of weeks ago.

Installed some 6000K H.I.D today.  Got it from a local shop here for $55.  They have 1 year warranty.  I like them so far.

I was going to order from Amazon.  But, with these "low price" kits, there is always a risk of things going wrong, and I don't want to deal with returns.  I found this shop on Craigslist.  There are literally 5 min. from where I live.  They will replace the item if anything goes bad within 1 year.

BTW...there is a 2WD friendly run coming up that Lava and RBDuffer are leading, The Main Divide trip from Fallbrook to Santiago Peak.

Epic day trip...stay tuned to the boards, especially the Xcursion Planning thread.

Was the HID upgrade just a bulb replacement?

Thx for the heads-up on the run.  The HID is complete kit with 2 ballasts, 2 bulbs, and wires.  It is pretty much Plug-n-play.  I installed in about 45 min.  It would've been faster but I decided to take the battery out.  There is very little room to work with on the passenger side.

Just noticed a big scratch on my front grille.  Not even sure how it got there.  This might as well be a good thing because I've been too lazy to paint the grille.  I am now "forced" to paint them.  Heehee.

Fedex dropped off these new windows visors yesterday.  Could've used them a couple of days ago when it was raining dogs and cats.

Window visors look great. There seems to be a problem though..... I don't see any dirt/mud on the paint. Time to take it off road!  8)

Haha.. Thx.  It is a 2wd.  Probably not going to see any mud.  Some dirt maybe? :)  I am trying to get her ready.  Already got new tires.  Sliders should be here tomorrow.  Looking at CB from Amazon.  Man, it is getting expensive.

I'm 2wd as well nothing wrong with that. For a CB I'd get a Uniden Pro520xl. Its compact and cheap.

Justin didn't slow us down at all when we ran Silverado Canyon/Santiago Peak earlier this year.  :)

Sliders are here!!!  John and his wife from White Knuckle Off-road dropped them off at my house this afternoon.  John is a super great guy to work with.  I e-mailed him last week about the sliders and he had them done in less than a week.  Now, I just need to get those damn holes drilled.

John said he needs more pics for his website.  You should send in some shots of your kick-ass X with the sliders.

Test-fitted.  Everything lined-up.  Couldn't be happier with the fit and finish.  But, that little metal plate that you have to fish thru the hole was a PITA.

Best sliders on the market! Bar None!! Good for you.

I didn't realize White Knuckle was local. Or, did they just happened to be in town?

They are in Apple Valley, about an hour from me.  I was going to go pick it up but they were in area. So, they dropped it off. :)
