Hey guys here is a weird one. I have a DCC Taurus Efan controller that is wired directly to the battery (positive and neg.). I also have a blue sea fuse block that is wired directly to the battery (pos. only) via 4g with a 60amp inline fuse. The Cobra 29 is wired directly to the fuse block. The CB radio is mounted overhead to the roll cage. The DCC controller uses a temp sensor to only turn on at a certain temp, unless the AC is being used and it give the fan 50% power.
Whenever I hold in the mic button on the CB radio, the Efan will turn on, if it wasent allready on. I also have a set of HID hella's wired to the fuse block and there is no interferance with the fan if I turn the lights on. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this little issue?

Ya I considered this but the fuse block recommends no bigger then a 30amp fuse and a I have a 50amp inline for the fan.

I just looked up the fan unit...seems to be a pretty complex wiring for the DCC unit. The only thing I can figure is that somehow the RF from your CB is triggering a relay in the system?
-
Or...the RF is traveling through the power cord to the battery...which is even weirder. ???
-
Ya that is my conclusion also because it does not happen when the antenna isnt mounted.

Okay, did a little reading.
Start by wiring the CB directly to the battery, not through the fuse block. A clean power source is key.
Also, keep all wiring for the CB, power and antenna coax, away from other electrical wiring/power sources.

is the fan turning on the 50% setting or full on? does the power wire for the cb run next to the fan wiring?
