I was westbound on North River Rd. east of Douglas Drive by the Five Star Market, Oceanside California around 315-330 today 9/25
Saw a really nice Solar Yellow? Gen 2 driving Eastbound on North River Rd. X Had a low-pro style basket on top the OEM rack.
In the rear view mirror, I saw the SSCX Club sticker on the right and a black/red for sale sign on the drivers side rear window...didnt see anything else on the windows or other mods that jumped out.
Who could it be? ??? ??? ???
I was in my company ride and didnt see the driver. I drive all over Oside SUN-WED and havent seen this X Before.

Might be Ryan...2WD Xterra? I thought he lived up in the LA area though?
-
it was weird seeing the Club SCCX sticker on the rear window and no other stickers on it anywhere....
I was going to flip around, try to stop him and offer some CASH for that Yak basket ;D ;D

Pretty sure it's Ryan's...bummer.

That sucks. He should've at least removed the sticker. That has to be earned on the trail, not bought. Linky no worky.

If it's the Ryan I think it is then he did get the sticker on a run. I see no reason to say it should be removed. If you're referring to whoever might buy the truck, then I also don't see a problem leaving it there. The buyer might want to join the club - in which case we would welcome him or her.
Either way - think of it as advertising.

I emailed him right after this was posted letting him know that if the hatch tent didn't go with the deal that I would buy it from him. It turned out that it is Ryan from SCCX and he had an appointment to sell his X the next day. He said he would gladly sell me the tent. but since I haven't heard back from him I suspect the sale went well.
With all the vendor offroad stickers plastered on our trucks, that is a pretty good indication that getting someone to wear your flag can attract like minded people. For the vendors it's beneficial to them so they can sell their product; for us it's to continue to grow and benefit from the experiences, knowledge, and fresh ideas of Xterra enthusiasts. I personally don't see the harm in that.
