Title: New Member Here, My FIRST run was back in 2001....
Post by: Lava on September 09, 2012, 10:41:29 AM: Hello Everyone! I just wanted to say I'm Back! I ran with the club in 2001 on two trips. Once in The Cleveland National Forest and the other at Hungry Valley in my 2000 Solar Yellow 2 Wheel Drive. I was in the Military and Deployed shortly after. Since then, Ive owned a 2004 4X4 Solar Yellow in the Midwest until it met its maker in 2006...

I'm back, well, Have been back since 2006 in North County SD.... AND Ive just gotten a new addition to my family, a brand new 2012 LAVA RED PRO 4X!!! Ready to be Modded and Wheeled!! Its got less than 300 miles on it, and already we've hit the trail at CNF for some light wheeling to introduce my wife to the lifestyle.

Thanks again for having us and we are looking forward to being active members once again.

Its time to get back to that good old family friendly X-rated fun and getting dirty!! ;D

It's now customary to bring after-trail beverages on your first two runs, just in case you tuck and run again ::) Look forward to meeting you and your family at Cleghorn. My gal will be glad to see more girls on the trail as well.
PS Let's make sure John (ghostX) comes too.

We are excited to attend. This will be my wife's first run as a group. I took her up to Santiago Peak on Saturday morning to show her the ropes. She loved it. We also have a 5 year old son who naturally loves dirt.

You got It! GhostX, lets meet at the shell station at the 15 and then RBDuffer can jump in at the 76. Lets do it. 3 Rigs from the south....Anyone else???

No, weld on sliders are a lot stronger than bolt ons. It's basically of an extension of the frame, when the sliders are welded on.

Post by: Ghost65 on September 13, 2012, 05:01:58 PM: I had bolt on NXRocks sliders and was very happy with them. But...the moved slightly, maybe only a 1/4 of an inch, but it was enough to bend the pinch weld in the body on my Xterra.

Went with the weld on AOE's as well. Ray (HEVAK) can attest when we were out at Azusa...welded sliders don't move AT ALL. :)

For some reason I thought they would be welded just at the 2 square tubes, but they actually weld those onto larger square plates, then flush weld them onto the frame. 150% recommended to those without.
