Title: Fire in Azusa Canyon!
Post by: MaxPower on September 02, 2012, 04:23:49 PM: Lots of smoke in the hills so I checked the news. ABC is reporting that 75 acres are on fire in East Fork of Azusa Canyon and the community up there has been evacuated. Early reports suggest and illegal BBQ started the fire.

To give some perspective....the bridge we drove under while in the Azusa OHV area is the East Fork bridge. The community that I THINK the are talking about is just a couple of miles east of where we were.

200 fire fighters and 8 aircraft called in.

Post by: MaxPower on September 03, 2012, 11:05:11 AM: That is just horrible! I guess the only good thing is the news stated that the direction the fire is going there are no improvements/homes in the way. Tough going for the ground crews though.
