Title: One Car too Far

I saw this from a JustRuns.com post.  A promo on an upcoming program called One Car to far on Discovery channel starting Aug 19th 8pm.  Premiere of a five part series regarding jeeping in the wilderness.

I can't believe I don't have the Discovery Channel.  I even called my TV provider to make sure it wasn't in my lineup.  Hopefully it will come out on Hulu.

Hey I saw the show last night.   It was certainly interesting in a staged sort of way.   I guess it shows the importance of a winch if you ever get caught in the Rain Forest   ;D

I just watched the 8-26-2012 show Volcano.  Staged is right but it was an interesting show.  I wish they explained more of the technical issues and not much on the drama....more like a how to video would be.

When I saw the driver's side rear axle, on that Jeep, extend out about a foot, I thought that was coolest mod I've ever seen  :o. Then, I thought, how much will THAT cost me?? Much to delight, and my wallets, the axle had sheared off  :D Then they used a tree as a sled in place of the rear tire. Staged?? More than likely, but very entertaining.

That was pretty awesome.  I liked how he drove down the hill with a slight slide on the drivers side to keep the axle in place.

The first three full episodes are already on Hulu.  I just watched the clip where they started a fire with the battery cables.  Ha ha! The guy jumped with shock? fear? surprise??? when the other guy touched the cables together.  A fairly dramatic response I would say, maybe for the camera?   :D
