I've recently been introduced to using tapatalk and It's the greatest ever making responding to PM's and posts much faster and easier being that i can now do it from my phone.
I'd highly recommend it for this board.
-
Never heard of it. What is it again?
-
it's a smartphone app that makes it much easier to use the forums while mobile.
-
This forum needs smartphone integration. Forum Runner, Tapatalk something. I live through my phone and coming on here on my Phones browser blows...
Come on John.....
-
I'll look into this.
-
Okay, research done.
I need to contact the sites owner and see if be wants to add Tapatalk as an option.
Steve - I sent you a PM - any insights would be appreciated.
-
Yea tapatalk really easy to install and easy to manage. I recently brought azxc up on tapatalk and we are on smf too. So if there is any question please let me know and I can help out

I'm not an IT guy...flying by the seat of my keyboard.
Created a Tapatalk account, downloaded the software to the site here, but when I try to link to this forum it states there is a "server error."
I have contacted the owner (Aperion) and am waiting to hear back.

Thanks for the effort John. Having this work will make it easier for a few of us.

That is odd. I didn't have that problem with azxc. Where did you download the tapatalk package at? Ill look to see if I still have it saved and send you the one I used when I did it for azxc.

Downloaded it from the Tapatalk site. The was a system message in the packages section of this site, that mentioned setting the permissions to 775 on the server. Without that we might have issues.
So, I am hoping Chris/Aperion can help sort this out. I think we are close here.
-
all you need to do is log into the server via ssh/terminal.
navigate to the folder that contains the folder you need to change permissions on and type chmod 775 -R [folder name]
Then exit and register this forum on the tapatalk website.
Let me know if you have trouble.
-
Any updates? I know we're close.

Yes, very close. Actually PM'ed with Chris/Aperion on this. He is the site/server owner and he assured me he was working on it.
Thanks for checking in Danny.

Definitely looking forward to this. I finally downloaded Tapatalk on my EVO, and didn't realize what I was missing. I find it way easier for me to keep up to date on all the forums I'm on with this app.

I threw in the towel with the Tapatalk stuff. If someone else want's to give it a shot, LMK.
