Nobody wheeling this weekend of May 12th?? I want to go wheeling! but would love a group as well...
Anywhere! Claighorn, big bear, near san diego, anything socal..
-
If i wasn't going to Laughlin this weekend I'd say i'd be up for it.. I'm free next weekend tho :)
-
I'd love to go wheeling to anza borego since I've never been there.
Any insights of what to do and not do there?
-
Most of anza borrego is nice. I did not like Ocotillo Wells, too much dust whoops and dirt bikes.
-
anyone wheeling this weekend??
Randy?
I'm still itching LOL..
-
Just went yesterday with HenryPro and HEVAC to a mild but beautiful run in the OC. Dumps you out near Cook's Corner. My 'stupid' bumper is still off, so I'm ready. I'll have to check with my smarter half.
Where are you Mastagrog and Android and the rest of us who couldn't make Moab this year?
-
OK, I got the green light! Let's do "Lower Coyote Canyon" (north end or Anza Borrego) around 10ish. It will close for the summer on June 1st.
-
I'll see you tomorrow Randy!
Somehow can't find MastaGrog's number and can't get in touch with him.. Hopefully he could see this and join us...
Same goes to Ironandroid!!!
ANYONE IS WELCOME.

Great trip Steve!
The rest of you missed out on Lower Coyote Canyon (lots of rocks, little water crossings). With just two rigs, we had time to go over to the Calcite Mine trail (great rock formations), get lost in palm wash, find a lost couple in a rental Jeep, then 'guide' them (and us) safely back to the highway. With the sun getting low, we made a quick run through the sand to Fonts point for even better views and colors of the desert (pics to follow). We stopped in Borrego Springs for dinner where it seemed to be 'Cleavage Night' for the local girls. I just love small towns:) Fat and happy we made the night drive homeward.

Sounds like a great time. Don't forget we have a whole section just for pictures. It's a lot easier for people to find them there.
Sounds like you hit many of the high points on that northern side of the Park. I take it dinner was at Carlee's?
-
Yeup! We had Carlee's for dinner..
Great Run Randy!! Had soo much fun yesterday!! Although Im still itching for more wheeling before summer gets here HOT!
A night run would be cool but I don't know what everyone would like...
At the moment, it seems that I have still lots more to see in Anza borrego... Want to go check out that one place where there are tight squeezes...
Want to try what these dudes did!!! somehow there are no video of Xterras!!! only jeeps and fjcruisers... we gotta make one!!!

Hey Steve;
we crossed that creek, but with only 1/10th of the water in it. That's LCC's third crossing. We didn't even have water in the first two >:( We'll all do it again next winter.
EDIT: The pics are in 'Pics and Vids'

Darn, I missed a great trip and cleavage night?!
