Yeah the MKIII will be my next gun for sure.  I just love the way the revolver looks in my cowboy holster ;D

I agree. When SHTF, we all need to load up our rigs and get to a safe zone.

No other soviet erra fans? Saw a Mosin mentioned earlier  ;D
I'm an SKS man myself - 1954 Russian SKS, good for hunting, defense & marksmanship. Standinig with no support, I'll hit 3-4 rounds of a 10 round clip at 300 yards. Not bad for a 60 year old rifle  8)

I have a Chinese SKS. I like it alot. I can't imagine hitting anything at 300yards though. I like the finish. Did you finish that or did those darn Russians do it?

That is the finish the Soviet Russians put on. Above pic is straight from Wikipedia (I don't like photos of my rifle on the web) but exact same gun and look. Hitting at 300 yards after a lot of practice, but I'd try to get closer if hunting - wouldn't want to miss a shot and spook the beasty. If I'm sitting or prone and can rest the rifle before firing, I'll hit a good 5 of 10 at 250-300 yards. Also depends on the round used. Plus the Russians simply made the best SKS, before passing production to the soviet satellite countries & eventually China.

Btw Toro, awesome collection of pistols - which, can I ask, is your favorite?
