If you are using an angle grinder to cut off oh say a 1/2" bolt and you get 98% through deciding to break the rest away with your gloved hand. This is where it gets important, make sure the thumb and forefinger pad are leather and not some form of synthetic material. Always amazes me at how fast a thread pattern can burn completely through the glove and all layers of skin exposing the meat below.

 At least chicks dig scars or so I'm told by my loving wife.....
