Greetings from Ramona
« on: January 20, 2018, 06:11:58 PM »
Hello,

I've been a long time Nissan owner, but just purchased my first Xterra last week. A 2011 with 70k. I've already done the radiator cooler bypass to the external oil cooler, just to be safe.. Did the same thing on the Pathfinder I own as well. The xterra came with an Alpine touchscreen Audio unit that's kinda cool, but it's taking awhile to figure out how to use it.

I would enjoy doing some weekend runs, or day trips to Anza Borrego.. I see you guys do the Bradshaw trail, which I'm familiar with (we do lots of rock hounding in that area)
I also own some property near Barstow that we go camping on, and drive around the desert all day.

Best Regards

Travis

Welcome!  Since it's an '11, you shouldn't need the bypass.

Took the xterra out on its first desert trip today in Anza, saw a few other xterras near box canyon, was hoping it was someone from here. Maybe around 10am ish. We went out to the great overland stage route, it was really Sandy... Then took a trip up Indian gorge. Weather was perfect, and wasn't too windy.
