See the link above. I was just made aware of this event in Temecula, which is happening on August 8th from 2pm to 10pm at the Promenade Mall. Looks like it could be a huge a bro-fest, but might be fun to attend. Plus it's like 4 miles from my house. I'm not seeing anything that says the event is free, so I'm presuming there is an admission fee, but I can't find how much it is. It's also a bummer that there is a serious lack of overland/expedition presence at this festival, as I totally consider it part of the "dirt lifestyle." The 'show and shine' event doesn't even feature a category I could enter my Xterra under, in my opinion. Best I can tell, it's a car show for off-road vehicles, with some vendors and a bunch of family-friendly activities and live music.
The family and I originally had plans to go camping that weekend (trying to make up for our camping trip from hell a few weekends ago), but it's looking like a few people can't make it and we might cancel the trip entirely. If we end up not going, I'll be hitting up this event to see what it's all about. Anyone else interested in checking it out?
Edit: they have a facebook page too, for those of us who are into utilizing the book of faces: https://www.facebook.com/OffRoadNights

Plenty of "family friendly" activities, according to their posts from 2014 :D

Back in the 00's a bunch of my drift buddies and I went to a car show and put our beat up drift cars on display, it reminded why I hate car shows, longest day of my life, everyone just walks around and constantly details their car for 12 hours.

Bro, just make sure you have your flat brimmed "Monster" hat that you can tuck your ears into and the calf length black socks with Dickie shorts and you should be able to infiltrate there with zero issues.
I'm still waiting for a National "Bro" hunting permit to be approved. I don't care what it costs I'll pay for the tag.

Haha, I went and got "gauges" in my ears just for the event. Can someone help me jack up the front end of the Xterra about 3 more inches for this, too? Just the front. ;D

Just install your spacers on your coilovers, quick and easily reversed, can't say the same for the guages lol

I'm thinking painting your fenders white and extending the a-arms 15" per side and you'll be gtg!

Just remember gentlemen... where there's bros, there's bro hos. :)
Camping plans fell through for the weekend, so I'll definitely be popping in on this event to see what it's all about. Celt - I'll do my best to get you a Monster sticker. Or even better... this:
